Our communities have a lot in common with each other?..friendly, hospitable people who would love to have you join our family.
In Cedar Falls: The Band Shell at Overman Park near the downtown area entertains the public every Tuesday when the Cedar Falls Community Band plays. Friends and neighbors bring lawn chairs and listen and enjoy!
The last weekend in June is the festival everyone waits all year for: Sturgis Falls Days?.a three day festival filled with food, fun and music of all types that draws people from all over the nation and the world.
Many museums provide historical prospective; the Galleger/Bluedorn Center for the arts provides cultural experiences with everything from the symphony to Cats to the Nutcracker Suite; the miles and miles of bike trails combined with the excellent park system gives the community the top notch recreation opportunities it desires.
Waterloo shares part of the bike trail system and the Chain of Lakes project and many of our parks. Both cities have great sporting activities whether you play or watch the events. My Waterloo Days is a 5 to 7 day event the beginning of June that features a hot air balloon festival, food, food and more food along with tons of activities for every member of your family.
The bottom line is this?you won?t be bored in the metro area! Something to do or just enjoy nature and do nothing!
